Terminology Management at AAF

Jürgen Kotzian, terminologist at the Austrian Armed Forces (AAF) Language Institute, hold a presentation about the specialties of military terminology at the AAF.

While the goals, principles and applied methods of terminology in the military are similar to terminology in other organizations, the obligatory secrecy, the lack of genuine equivalents in the target language and consequently the procedures and structures make the difference.
