SC Resolution 1325 and the Austrian Armed Forces
René Hudribusch of the Ministry of Defense and Sport reported about the implementation of UN SC resolution 1325 and 1820, which both focus on the specific role of female soldiers in the Austrian Armed Forces.

He justified the previous resistance against integrating females into the military organization with the males' fear of losing power and prestige.
Since 1998, the involvement of females has been increasing and the Austrian Armed Forces intends, among others, to rise the females' proportion.
Hudribusch explained the way how to achieve those aims and finalized his speech with some interesting examples of courses that the AAF has been conducting.
