Global education - the COMSIC project
Reinhard Mitschke and Dr. Alexander Wick, researchers and lecturers at the Institute of Educational Science (IBW), Heidelberg University, conducted a workshop on the COMSIC project (Collaboration Competencies for Media Supported Intercultural Groups):

From abstract personal values to concrete work settings:
How to not only feel but also act committed to global responsibility goals in everyday leadership and organization
The workshop was aimed to support transforming content from originally being a proposed goal of Global Learning/Education to specific techniques and practise. Too often very committed ideas do not follow adequate realisations.
Workshop Agenda
COMSIC aims to transfer values and attitudes of managers, faciliators and experts, in general professionals into overt activity. The workshop simulated corresponding settings and the exemplified process of such transformation. Our goal as scientists was to let the participants as experts take part in this process by being members of media supported work groups, using their very own techniques to overcome common challenges and hereby further developing theoretical schemes.
The tasks were executed by five groups in three phases:
Phase I:
Defining key terms in work groups. Posting preliminary results in a wiki.
Phase II:
Respective group members analysed and integrated all answers to the respective questions to formulate one master answer each.
Phase III:
Respective master answers were evaluated from 5 different stakeholder perspectives.

Follow-up and results?
Participants will be provided with the workshop results.
Results will be made available to all others interested as soon as the project COMSIC has reached the corresponding stage.
