Anja Drame

                                                                                                                                                  

is an independent expert and consultant for intercultural communication. She has been working for non-governmental organizations and university departments in the field of terminology and specialized communication since 2001. From 2004 to 2009 she has been in charge of secretarial work of the ISO/TC 37, being the assistant to the secretary of this technical committee. She has also as project leader been involved in the development of international standards.

Anja has graduated from Leipzig University (Germany) with an M.A. in African Studies, Applied Linguistics and German as a Foreign Language. She also has spent extended research time in South Africa. Currently she is a PhD candidate at the University of Vienna in the research field of communication and language planning ("Terminology policies and/as communication for social change").

She publicises on various matters related to communication, multilingualism and diversity in various specialized publications and is editor-in-chief of the Terminology Blog.

Anja is actively involved in a number of committees and has been nominated as first female Deputy Director of the International Information Centre for Terminology (Infoterm).


Gabriele Sauberer

      

Gabriele is a pioneer in the professional management of EU funded projects, in European diversity management and quality management for the language industry. She initiated the first International Diversity Summer School and a Quality Standard on Diversity Management.

Many projects and trainings at European, regional, national and international level. Certified quality auditor, EN 15038 lead auditor and expert in several standardization committees, such as Terminology, Translation, Human Resources, Diversity management, Corporate Social Responsibility. Henrike Paepcke

    

has worked as a consultant for small companies and non-profit organizations in the U.S. and Germany since 1999, including project  management, research, analysis, content development, knowledge-management and conceptual tasks. Currently, she is Managing Director of a direct marketing company and the affiliated IT service provider "Coconets", founded in 2008 and specialized in communication and collaboration solutions such as intranets or knowledge portals.  In the US, she worked for the Peace and Security Funders Group and the Council on Foreign Relations. 

Henrike is co-initiator and co-chair of the UN Studies Association, an informal working gorup of U.N. academics and practitioners, which was launched at the 2007 ACUNS annual meeting with the aim to foster the field of U.N. Studies (www.unstudies.org). She is a Board Member of ACUNS and of Women in International Security Germany.

Henrike has published a book on the office of the U.N. Secretary-General and the U.S.-U.N. relationship as well as several articles on U.N. reform and leadership issues. Her current interests include: developing a concept of U.N. Studies, fostering the "next U.N. generation", knowledge management and new media & ITCs (web 2.0, social software). She holds a doctoral and master's degree in Political Sciences from the University of Hamburg.

Julia Harfensteller

        

Julia Harfensteller is co-initiator and co-chair of the UN Studies Association (UNSA), an international expert community of U.N. academics and practitioners that aims to foster U.N. Studies (www.unstudies.org). Currently, she is PhD candidate at the University of Bremen and completing her second Master's degree in Philosophy of Knowledge and Science at the Technical University, Berlin. Besides her PhD-related research focus on the UN and Theories of International Organizations, she is interested in Philosophy of Language and Theory of Science.

 

 Reinhard Mitschke

Researcher and lecturer at the chair for School Pedagogy and Theory of Education at the Institute of Educational Science (IBW), Heidelberg University. His main areas of research are: Education and Globalisation, Global Education, Research in International Comparative Education, Peace Education. Reinhard has wider experience in School Teaching, Planning and Organisation of Integration Courses, Intercultural and International Business Counselling. He he is coordinator and student counsellor of the Bachelor Program „Educational Science". In his former position at the IBW he co-lead a research and development project „Peacebuilding Educational Activities in the Context of Armed Conflicts", funded by the German Foundation for Peace Research (DSF) and was responsible for two Alumnischools on „Education and Peace" (2007) and „Social, Cultural and Economic Aspects of Education in Conflict" (2008), funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

He is member of the Conference of University Padagogues in Baden-Wuerttemberg (KUP), the Interagency Network of Education in Emergencies (INEE) and the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS).
